Here you see a local Banjara pastor milking one of the buffaloes Vine and Branches was able to provide for them. These buffaloes help support pastors and their families as they start new churches in the villages where the Banjara people live.
The Banjara people are considered to be the Gypsies of India, and are viewed as the lowest of the caste system by the Hindu of India. Nomadic farmers originally, the Banjara eke out a living as best they can, farming in the small villages of India. Although occasionally some Banjara children may go to school for a few years, the majority of these people are often unable to attend classes.
Very few have heard of Jesus and even fewer have accepted him into their lives. Banjara Baptist Ministries seek to train young Banjara men to go back into their villages and start churches.
Your gift of $500 can purchase a milking buffalo or a small herd of goats that will sustain a pastor and his family as they begin new churches and share the good news of Christ with their world.
